I posted another pic of that on my threat already: it's the 'Friedensssaal' (Hall of Peace)

[A neutralized Münster was the scene of the peace congress (1645-48) that resulted in the Treaty of Westphalia.
In the Gothic town hall (1335) is Friedenssaal ("Peace Hall").]

More photos of Münster Townhall,
the Peace Hall and the place infront of it, the Prinzipalmarkt.

A fine thread of photos and reminiscences.

It felt at times as if I was there.

Quote,

"(The one above the group, in Münster, is not from the museum but from the 'peace hall' in the ancient Münster Town Hall'.)"

I knew I'd screw up my information as I write my journal more than one week from the event, but also knew that Walter would correct me. Wink

Apparently, Walter also has "backup" photos. Walter and c.i. have together made an excellent record of the European A2K gathering!

Wandeljw, between the two of them, they could easily start an international tour group that would put the rest to shame. They both have a real love of history and have a fine memory for dates and places and, most of all, they love exploring and finding out everything about everyplace they visit--even many places they've never seen. Two very extraordinary men, our Walter and c.i.

Berlin. I'm having surgery tomorrow morning, so I'll be back in a couple of days. Nothing serious.

Hope you have an uneventful entry, and speedy exit from the medical establishment. And please do snap and sneer at some officious medicos for us all.

Wouldn't want to mess with the others; the anestheologist, the RN, and the surgical nurse....I'm at their mercy, if you know what i mean.
