Yes, they're probably gerbera daisies. The ones we saw at Keukenhol was about five inches in diameter. It's probably the first time I've seen that color combination, and that's the reason I took the picture. It was stunning! Now that I've been introduced to this new flower, there seems to be many color combinations that can dazzle the colors of the rainbow. I believe they can grow in New Mexico. Just type "gerbera" in a search engine, and you'll find suppliers.

What I found so unusual about the gerbera that I photographed is the size of the center in relationship to the total size of the flower. It's much larger than most daisies when the center is two-thirds of a five inch diameter flower. It is for me, any ways. Wink

At the (German) flower market here, they sell 200 different kinds of gerbera to the flower shops.

JLN's post a few pages back, "That was my idea of a tour. On the other hand, I regret having spent a delightful four days in Sevilla (eating and drinking wine and tapas) without going to see the famous Virgin of the Macarena worshipped especially by bullfighters."

I was in Seville when the Macarena was popular, and hoped to hear the music frequently on my visit. However, none of the places we visited played the Macarena. It was strange.

pwayfarer, people never put their addresses openly on the thread like that.
Most are worried crazies will write to them. Probably they won't, but I'd take it off again.

Some of us post an email address for a short time until the person intended picks it up. 'Tis a danger, how else do I get 75 spams a day, but some folks have done it and had no spammy repercussions. Who knows but the Spam King, I mean, the Shadow.

Edit for unusually poor syntax, twice.

As the days passes after the events, it's much harder for me to remember more of the details, so I need to keep rewriting it. Wink
