Thanks for the list, c.i.. I guess one's source is everything- I just was counted wrong in a trivia contest last week for saying that Tokyo was the largest city in the world (they said Bombay/Mumbai). Of course, they also claimed that the character "Puck" was from Shakespeare's "The Tempest" (Puck was in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ariel was in The Tempest)

Here's an interesting one - and it's certainly trivial!

I was looking at an old Canberra street directory this morning. Canberra is the capital of Australia, populated largely by public servants. It is a fast-growing city and new tracts of land are often opened for housing. I noticed two new planned adjoining suburbs named Harrison and Forde.

Does anyone know of any similar combinations?

Today's tough movie question (from the game I mentioned before):

"In what film does Tom Cruise's cousin, William Mapother, star?"

[No IMDB, please Smile]

As an aside, can you believe that Tom started out with that last name?

Not quite as amazing- but within a mile from my house is the intersection of Russell Street and Johnson Drive - Russell Johnson was the actor who played the Professor on Gilligan's Island and was in many old Sci Fi movies.

Wow! I cheated and googled. Won't give it away. I had no idea he was Cruise's cousin.

I know... I never would have guessed either...

Today's question (I just took the quiz again)...

In what 2004 film do several characters of different racial backgrounds collide in one incident, teaching them something about societal stereotypes?

Guesses?

Tokyo is not a city, but a prefecture, the most populated urban area on earth.

Good ones Mame!
(And you didn't make them up!)

My favorite death: The Greek Playwright Aeschylus (456 BCE) was killed by a falling turtle. Apparently, sea birds had picked up the turtle, and mistaking Aeschylus' bald head for a pointy rock, tried to open the turtle by dropping it on him.
