sorry for taking so long letty my wife and i have been out to the theatre (local production)

Yes the bridge is in OZ. I think I might even have dutchy stumped.

Heres a clue; This bridge is over a body of water (sometimes) that is 4 times the size of Sydney harbour

Hmmmm, dadpad. A wonderful wombat told me it might be Eildon Weir in Victoria. Razz but I don't know if that creature can speak Aussie.
