No. Kilimanjaro is a little south to the equator, but these mountains are slightly north to the equator and along the Nile.

Correct, hamburger.
The mountains are Ruwenzori (Rwenzori) and the highest peak is Margherita.

(Some say these are "Mountain of the Moon", which was referred to by Ptolemy.)

we stopped over on our cruise march 22 - absolutely beautiful !

satt_fs : look closely : it's 9 AM Very Happy Exclamation (i did not adjust the camera time - i think it's actually 11 am).
(save some pennies or yen Smile and you too can see mount osorno in all it's glory and beauty ) .
