Indeed it is, Dutchy. Now just name the "for whom" part which, to me, is what that place is all about.

In a way this person could have been a hero, but that is a matter of some dispute. Actually, his claim to fame was his excellent writing.

I have been thinking about Max Brand (Frederick Faust) who wrote all these westerns, one of which was turned into a movie "The flying horse", is that going in the right direction?

No, Dutchy. Hint: Old Gringo. The flying horseman is an allusion to one of his short stories.

My word, C.J. where in the world have you been? Does your head hurt where you banged it on the invisible glass door? Boy has that ever happened to me. Rolling Eyes

Yep, you're right. I really like his short stories. Too bad that he got involved in a revolution. Probably got hanged, but he deserves that marker.

Incidentally, Dutchy. The flying horseman was an allusion to Bierce's "Horseman in the Sky." Fantastic, I tell you.

That is definitely a US flag on that building, but I'm at a loss as to where it might be located. I'm not so sure I've ever seen it.

Hehe, that's funny, cicerone. You've been all over around the world,
but the United States is still untouched by you! Laughing

It is not on the West Coast, Miss LEtty - think south...
