Hi Dutchy, what time is it out your way?
Hi George, I make it 10.45 in the morning (Wednesday) down here.
Is this some kind of Fort or Church building?
Dutchy, Church in a sense. A temple actually.
Not Brazil, Letty, but on its border.
Templo del Sol or Koricancha, Cuzco.

"Temple of the Sun" .... good job, Francis.
Yes, indeed!
Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun)
This huge temple also served as astronomical observatory and treasury
for the rich Incan realm at its height. Its name translates as "Golden
Court" or "Golden Garden": the walls were lined with gleaming gold
plates, glittering gold straws were woven into its thatched roof, and a
huge gold disc at its center reflected bright sunlight through the structure.
The grounds were decorated with life-size sculptures of people, animals,
flowers and insects. When the Spanish invaded early in the 16th century,
they stripped Qorikancha bare, sending all its gold back to Spain. Today,
the temple is still a wonder, with ingenious Incan stonework and terraced
gardens.
Well, for goodness sake. Letty and Dutchy look; look; look; and Francis finds it. I know. I know. One must understand what words to type into Google.<smile>

Or know a bit more about the Inkas: it's famous as "synthesis of the Inkan organisation, architecture and religion" - thus in many history books
Walter, I will confess to you that there are many things which I do not know, but I was headed in the right direction.
(waits for Francis to respond)
Not the Americas, Miss Letty.
Unfruitful attempt, Miss Letty.
The Middle East, Francis?
