I'm familiar with only two gates at Mdina. The one I posted earlier is the inside of the main gate that goes over a small bridge. As seen from furhter away.

Here's C.I's gate from the other side. I think if you look at C.I's picture, you will see someone in the distance, standing on the bridge. That's roughly where I was standing when I took this......

That is part of the pleasure of visiting Malta, and it costs only about .50c from Valletta to Mdina.
