re avatar/signature:

The high German (translated from the Middle High German) version is:
Ich saß auf einem Stein, hatte Bein über Bein geschlagen, den Ellbogen drauf gestützt, in die Hand schmiegte ich Kinn und Wange.

My seat I had upon a stone,
With one leg o'er its fellow thrown:
My elbow thereupon I rested,
And in my hand secure had nested
My chin, and of my cheeks, the one.

So you are changing Hinteler into von der Vogelweide? But have you got a road named after you now?

[Correct, but that really doesn't beat the hamlet/street 'Hinteler', which is named around hwere the first Hintelers settled (Nor the Dr.-Hinteler-Str.)

Any guess on my pic? (Hint: neither artica nor antartica.)

Mr. Green

The glass house next to it, is it like a winter garden?
This reminds me of the movie "Saving Grace" who couldn't
afford the upkeep of her manor and started growing
Marijuana in her winter gardens.... great movie.

The glass house is .... like a glasshouse is, but you may visit it.

(I doubt that the owner grows marijuana there [or elsewhere on his 'estate'.)

No, as said ín the first hint: it's neither in the artic nor antartic.

Second hint was 'estate', btw

Oh, the third hint (I'm generous today!) is French-connected: during his school holidays, a French ruler lived more or less in eyesight of that place (more 'more', I admit  ).

It's SOUTHERN Germany (and, sorry, re the French ruler it should read «more "less"»).
