And it is Lampedusa, CJ!

A wonderful Italian writer, Giuseppe de Lampedusa, wrote the famous novel" The Leopard".

Very, very complex, Francis. Is it one of these islands?

Large islands in the Mediterranean include:

Cyprus, Crete, Euboea, Rhodes, Lesbos, Chios, Kefalonia and Corfu in the eastern Mediterranean
Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily, and Malta in the central Mediterranean
Ibiza, Majorca and Minorca (the Balearic Islands) in the western Mediterranean

My, my. This gets confusing. It's really satt's turn. He should be popping in at any moment. I would never have gotten Lampedusa, but I can check out The Leopard.

Hey, Dutchy. Well, I know what you mean.

Here's the way it stands:

satt couldn't post a picture, so Francis did one. No one got it except C.J. who hadn't the time to take her turn.

Sooooo. Why don't you go. <smile>

Have a wonderful trip, Margo.

This is so lovely. I know it's easy, but I wanted all to see:

I have seen Mt Fuji from afar; on an airplane and on the train, but never really got close to it.

Hi CI
Must be a fantastic sight from a distance but nothing beats a close up. Have not been to Japan, but have seen a similar mountain in New Zealand, Mt. Egmont on the North Island.http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/6294/mtegmont8dg.jpg

There's also one in Chile near Puerto Montt that looks like Mt Fuji. I saw that one pretty close about three years ago when I did the cruise from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires.
