(I mean, the so-called "Weinviertel" - 'vine quarter')

Had to go check an atlas, which didn't have the town in it (National Geographic!). Lower Austria, I believe -- not Vienna.

Since no vineyard tells its name on a photo - the buildings are the key for the name of that place, right?

Yes. But it may be better to discover the use of the building, now that you have the general area.

Clue: many people sleep here but not for long.

Francis! Shocked I just translated your signature line. Deconner was not part of my lycee syllabus! (And I wish I could remember where the accents were hidden on my keyboard.)

I'm not sure that my tender ears can handle "naiseries" -- none of my usual translation sites will admit that it is a word!

Thanks for the accents site. There really should be an easier method. Next time I need to buy a new keyboard, I will look for one with accents.

Another clue:

Quote:
Not yet a year old, the [building] has already become a modernist landmark in this bucolic wine-growing region about an hour west of Vienna.

Tico - try "niaiseries" or "nazeries" (these last you can google).

Your tender ears can afford that...

Exactly, Walter!

Interesting looking place ~ a wine and spa resort:

Loisium Wein & Spa

And I finally picked a spot that was a challenge!

I'm not sure at all, since both the hotel and the "LOISIUM - Images of Wine in Langenlois" seem to look quite different to tico's photo.
