So ... somewhere in Denmark is a nondescript house that is notable for it's night time technological visual .... um .... thing.

You ruled out solstice viewing, but does it have anything to do with celestial observation?

Oh! Latin ... now I'll never get it.

Something to do with navigation? There's no way that the house is 12m high, nor the dormer is 8m ... but perhaps 12m above sea level.
