I remember my favorite scene from the classic Johnny Quest cartoon.

Johnny and his dad and the sidekick from India (what was his name? Rajeem?) and the dog were crossing this rope bridge in the Himalayas. The bridge was swaying and there were all these porters ahead of the Quest family carrying the supplies.

Johnny had his hands out, to maintain his balance. My heart was pounding at this point and I was just leaning forward in my chair when all of a sudden this scream rips through the room that raised the hairs on the back of my neck and got my heart pounding.

At the same time I'm thinking "Gus, what the hell was that?" the lead porter turns around and there is pain and fear etched deep into his face as he screams, "IT IS THE CRY OF THE YETI!!"

There have been times in my life where I have been frightened and I am not ashamed to admit it.

When that porter screamed that crap about the Yeti, well, I dumped a load of hershey kisses in my underwear. I was that scared.

But, anyway, has anyone guessed Liberia?

"Somewhere in Tibet?" .. Not Tibet but very close.

"Is the area mountainous?" .. Yes, but the region is famous for three main rivers in Asia (Big hint).

Not Hindu Kush, nor Pakistan.

Well, Satt. I found this:

PHYSICAL FEATURES Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan Protected Areas is composed of a group of protected areas stretching 310km from north to south and 180km, from east to west in remote, forested back-country. The world heritage area lies over four parallel north-south trending mountain ranges that reach a height in excess of 4,000m above sea level in altitude. From the west they are: the Gaoligongshan on the Myanmar border, the Nushan (Meilishan, Biluoshan and Laowoshan ranges), the Baimang-Yunliangshan and Laojunshan ranges and the lower Qianhushan and Hongshan ranges on the east. These ranges are part of the Hengduan Mountains located beyond the eastern end of the Himalayas, which have been corrugated and uplifted by the pressures of crustal folding. The western ranges bear cloud forest that becomes tropically dense in the south. The northern mountains are barer but snow-capped, culminating in Mt Kawagebo close to the Tibetan border, from which flows the southernmost glacier in China, Mingyongqia.

Yes, Walter, I am back from the snow - but not Meili Snow Mountains in China (satt's picture).

It was cold and snowing, thus the Grand Canyon was closed,
but Sedona was beautiful.
