I can say that a treaty signed there in 1713 ended the War of the Spanish Succession.

Dutchy - I fear only posting a segment of the Outback will deter the Terrible Twins!!

Oops, it has been nearly three months by now since I was there - posted a couple of different pics already from that tour.

I'm not sure if the tower really has got a name - I know only the one of the chapel inside the tower.

Walter it is called the "Dom Toren" (Dutch) and is regarded as the highest tower in the Netherlands, from memory about 110m high. It is situated in the town of Utrecht as you probably know.
Folks this is all for tonight, 1am in the morning, and time to say Goodnight.

'Toren' is Dutch for tower, "dom" is Dutch (and German) for cathedral.

I think we're in a time warp. Very Happy

About 50 years ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a DJ puts together his play list ....

But the picture has many hints.
On the table there's a picture with some performers.
Like Ella Fitzgerald...If Ella is there so is Duke Ellington.
If Duke is there must be Duke University.
So the picture is the radio studio of Duke University.
Then you google for the name of Duke University radio studio..it's WDBS, the Campus radio station of Duke University..

Well, Dutchy. I think it was I who stopped the kettle boiling. I dedicated a song to Walter, you, and Francis on my virtual radio thread, invited you to participate, then "...all smiles ceased together...." Except for this one, of course. <smile>

Go ahead, honey. Do one and we'll give this thread CPR.
