For those interested, the Churchill Museum is right next door that is as equally interesting. I highly recommend it to newbies visiting London.
Yes but not Franck Loyd...
Ever wonder why travel is my avocation? LOL
Well, Letty sees the world through yours and Francis' eyes. <smile>
Hint : somehow connected with the Negus.
None of those. "Somehow" means "not directly". At least for me...
somehow means that for me as well, Francis. It is a dam, no?
Yes, Miss Letty, it's an old dam (not dame!).
It's name is connected to music...
hmmm. There is nothing like a dam. <smile>
South Pacific?
connected with music, dame, U.K.? still don't get the Negus thing.
After leaving the confines of one moderately successful psychedelic act (The Stitch In Tyme) and the highly successful but chaotic Lighthouse, Grant Fullerton struggled in the mid-70's to find a new home for his crunchy blues guitar stylings. After drifting about with the unsuccessful Mudflats and Friends, he formed the Fullerton Dam in 1976 with Brohman, MacDonald and Negus and were quickly scooped up by Condor Records. They released 'Breaks' that same year, but the breaks didn't come their way. The band split up and Fullerton and MacDonald tried it again as The Madcats. Negus would go on to fame and fortune as drummer for Saga.
Well, let's say, the Negus was called the Rastafari...
Good grief. I have learned one helluva lot today. Marcus Garvey's prophecy? I know that he was in favor of relocating the negro back to Africa, but I had no idea he was part of a band. (just kidding)
So, where is this dam? South Africa?
