Well, iduru, the only other place that I could find was on the Long Island Sound, and I don't know a thing about that geography.

Laughing I'm sorry as well, iduru. Perhaps if you could tell us the nature of that neat little structure. Is it listed in the American Heritage archives?

Did anyone guess New Hampshire?

New Hampshire it is!

There's really nothing too significant about this place. I just wanted to post a location that would be very hard to figure out. You've got to be a good detective!

Well for goodness sake, iduru. You certainly did make it difficult. Are we expected to name that little building? I can see that it has some kind of plaque, and that is why I thought it might be historic.

Very Happy No, you don't have to name the building just guess the town. I'll tell you that it is actually a library!

No, Sorry.

I admire your persistence, Letty, but I'm afraid that blindly throwing a dart at the board is gonna take awhile... perhaps some deductive reasoning might do the trick.

Actually, iduru, I have been doing research for some time, now, on cities on the Connecticut River in Northwestern New Hampshire. I didn't guess at Portsmouth, I found that the underground railroad used that river to transport run away slaves to Canada.

I think we have failed to establish which section of New Hampshire in which the city lies.

Neat! Actually I friend of mine just to the north in Orford  lives in a house right on the river that has hidden doors and tunnels that lead out of the house. Story is that they housed run-away slaves there on their way north, and those were "safe ways" out if the wrong people visitied the house.

Yes, it is. I have always enjoyed learning more about Harriet Tubman and the secret songs that pointed the way to escape. One is called The Drinking Gourd. It seems, however, that we haven't located your city, however. Sorry, iduru.

If this Boscawen library isn't it, it's still a worthy building.

Wow that looks just like it... but, is not the one. As I mentioned, one should easily be able to find out where it is from the clues in my previous posts.
