Northern mid-west or Southern mid-west?
Okay, where haven't we asked, Iowa?
Iowa? You know, Tico, I was surprised to find from a look at the regional maps of the U.S. that the mid-west is not what I thought it was. Titles change over the years, I guess.

In
my mind, "Midwest" runs basically from the Mississippi River (although including Illinois, to the Rocky Mountains. That kinda divides the contiguous states in roughly thirds. I'm always surprised when coastal folks refer to Ohio as being in the Midwest.
To me, Tico, the mid-west means the middle of the U.S.
Well, I'm going to guess Des Moines.
Hello, FROM what is considered the mid-west! I live in the big mitten!
Is Letty right Tico or is it yet another Iowan metropolis?

Letty is correct! (Is there another "Iowan metropolis"?)
Yawl are funny, and I need that. Back in a bit with a picture.
I DO say so, have you seen the ridiculous way that those of us from Michigan show you where we live by pointing to our city's location on our hand?!
Not that I know of! Take it away, Letty!

No, but it makes sense.
I've been to the hand once. Drove across the wrist over to Port Huron for a few days, then across the thumb and up the middle finger to Mackinaw Island, then down the pinky and back home.
