One of my teachers was the landscape architect who worked with Noguchi on it. Amusing space to me. I don't always like Noguchi's plazas.. he did another one in little Tokyo in LA that annoyed me when I saw it and heard him lecture on it.
Wonder what I'd think now, about twenty years later.
The sculpture garden in Costa Mesa is neat to see at night.
I took my cousins to see it - they live a few miles away and had never heard of it.

I love your info on the places you post, osso!
I saw that church (del Carmen) in Panama on a military trip. It was awesome, a gothic chuch in the middle of modern buildings and a tropical setting.

Yes, strange...
Noguchi's California sculpture garden is a little odd at its site too; it doesn't show in either picture, but the building next to it is a mirrored glass business building..

Great, Letty!
I am presently having fun looking up some photos for the future. My problem is remembering if I have shown the same places before - this thread is pretty long, and it's thread number two.
I'm doing this in avoidance of removing wallpaper paste on one of the walls in my house..

In 1987, I spent one month in London, and went on my first London Walks. The reason I remember Oscar Wilde's house is the simple fact that I also took a picture of his home, and on that particular walk, the owner of London Walks was in our group.
