Generally, yes.

Beth, did you take the highways closest to the water then? This one's a little off the beaten path, shall we say, but still accessible.

Yep! Man, you're good, Francis. Onekama, Michigan, USA. How did you get it, Google 'Onekama'?... Did you check the properties? (tsk, tsk!)

It's one of my favorite corners of the world! The clear blue lake at the bottom of the pic is Portage Lake. It's spring-fed, crystal clear and fabulous fishing. It's in the "pinkie" area of the lower peninsula of Michigan. We go to a great camp on Portage Lake every year. The whole area is just great, rolling hills, quaint towns & shops, some great restaurants, antiques, site-seeing... The building is Portage Point Inn. It's about 100 years old. Lake Michigan is the lake on the other side.
FYI, the lake was named 'portage' because at some point in time "long ago" - when, I'm not sure, someone got sick of portaging (carrying) their boats from one lake to another, so someone(overnight as the story goes) dug out a channel between lakes Michigan and Portage which is still there. I could go on! Sure would love to see you all there!
Portage Point Area
And I'm afraid my French is deplorable. So, what did you say, in English, Walter, Francis??

devriesj, Have you ever visited Lake Geneva in Wisconsin? Also a neat vacation spot in the mid-west.

Yes, that's a beautiful area as well. Spent some time at a great resort there. You've been there?
My father-in-law is from the Dells area, Delavan. Great cheese too.

I just guessed, dear. Remember enough of Latin from high school to fake it. <smile>

We used to live in Naperville, IL, many life times ago, and we visited the Lake Geneva area a few times. Stayed at some nice resorts by the lake.

Naperville's nice as I remember, nice area. Haven't been since college. My sister lives in Chicago just south of downtown. Ah, travel...

Where is the interest of the game if you check the properties?

Now you can google pictures "hotels michigan" or "hotels great lakes" and you will see...

So let"s look for this one:

I didn't think of that, Francis! That's one way to do it! Amazing that people living in places so far away from each other can peak into each other's corner of the world, isn't it?

Hmm. It it in the U.S.?
