In USA, I suppose. And east coast? New England?

'Primitive resort' - so not a 'health resort' or similar?

This place is inland, Walter, near a University.

Hint: They made part of a film there. If you get the state, it will be easier.

No spas, however. Many film stars stay there to get away from it all. No TV at all.

Well, with your hints I've found a place in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains - but that's looks different.

But, if not Montana - could it be Virginia?

Could the place in your pic be related to Dirty Dancing?

Yes, it's Virginia, Walter. The picture that you are looking at is the main lodge. There are cottages also and paneled in wormy chestnut. Beautiful, folks. I met Jessica Lange and her children there.

Jessica Lange irritated me now at first - and than this announcement:

hard to be these world wide travelers, devri.

That lake simply sprang up one day from underground springs. It is so cold that it would freeze, well you can imagine what it would freeze from Reyn's expression. <smile>

Thank you, Walter that picture is much more descriptive.

I envy them, Letty. Hopefully when my kids are grown I'll get to travel more.
That is a beautiful lake. The spring-fed ones are the clearest. We go to one in northern lower Michigan that's just gorgeous. You can see so far down! Haven't you travelled much, Letty?
I've been to Daytona. We went every year in high school.

Ni-night, Walter. Sleep Tight!

No, honey. I haven't traveled much, I'm afraid. Never been out of this country, nor West of the Mississippi.

That's one reason that I really enjoy this particular thread of Walter's.

Ah. I imagine it's pretty where you are though. Do you enjoy the ocean?

Used to, but now that my husband is so ill, it's difficult to enjoy anything much; however, when I drive down the coastal highway and look at that old Atlantic, I realize how much the ocean cradles the world.

Now, my young friend, it is time for you to do a picture.

Oh, my goodness, McTag's been at the pub. <smile>

While we wait for devri to post her picture:

In the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia,
On the trail of the lonesome pine.
In the pale moonlight,
Our hearts intwined,
She carved her name,
And I carved mine.

Oh, June like the mountains, I'm blue,
Like the pines, I am lonesome for you.

In the blue ridge mountains of Virginia,
On the trail of the lonesome pine.
