Yeep, I remember from my English schoolbook something like 'the skyline of Stole.on-Trnet is dominated by smoky bottles from the potteries (or similar) - was anice photo in the book (plus one from Manchester and house chimneys in London).

Tico.....I forgot how good you were!

The tomb of Thomas Sayers, a bare-knuckle boxer in the mid-19th century. He fought his way to the equivalent of the modern Middleweight Champion of England - though boxing was illegal in Sayers' day, so no official designations exist.

Sayers died of tuberculosis at the age of 39. His faithful dog, Lion, was the principal mourner at his funeral, and is commemorated by this statue.
