Boat U-2540 (Oberleutnant z. S. Rudolf Schultz).

U-2540 was sunk by its crew on May 4, 1945.

It was lifted in 1957 and put in service in the Bundesmarine in 1960 named "Wilhelm Bauer".

Well done, monsieur! (Have been one full day on that boat ... but not [really] sub marine. [They had a -mainly- civil crew in those days.])


Oh, and the place is Bremerhaven, German Maritime Museum.
