I haven't read Amado, but plan to.
Well, it's not a bad read..
Well, that made it easy now .... not too cold here
Well, when Robb was there, it was just a fishing village.. and now is touted on some site as the best beach in Brazil, with all the stuff happening that goes with that kind of promotion, I gather.
Porto de Galinhas, or Port of Chickens.
I would say, Hens' Port, in English.
Well, I'll listen to you on that. (To clarify, Robb's book is not about travel to beaches, quite the contrary, as it explores a lot of history, including present history.)
Dunno which of you 'won' -
a) that's not obvious at all
b) I'm busy getting some legal arguments ready and do serious stuff right now
c) it's too late for me
Then, go ahead, Osso, and post another one.
It's almost bedtime here..
But I have to pay my bills.
I'll post in about an hour - and by then it may be too late for you. Well, I'll try to be speedy.
There's actually two answers to this one, hah!
Is this a painting ossobuco?
I think so.
Since I posted that, from a site re virtual smithsonian, which I ran into rather by mistake, but liked, I've started to chase the painting down. I think the one you show is a print or some other effort.
I lost confidence after I posted... that the original painting is at the Smithsonian, but I still assume so half heartedly.
In any case, George Catlin, re a scene in Dakota Territory.
Your turn.
Isn't that the place where they have famous motor bike races?
I love sugar on my loaf of bread in the mornings.
Yeah yeah ok - post the pic and your go
