You are so smart!
I wish I knew Tacoma better. I think that is downtown Tacoma where 9th crosses the intersection of Broadway and St. Helens. But I can't find anything out about that event and surely that must be the most important thing. I know Rivkin's is gone, replaced by a coffee shop.

It sure looks like gold.

<sigh> I'll be back later. I have to take the speed-mobile for a drive. Very Happy Maybe somebody who isn't so rusty as I am can figure out the reason for all those armored vehicles and men.

Our son took us to a restaurant in Tacoma that overlooks water many years ago when he lived in Federal Way. It has really nice ambiance, and wouldn't mind returning there for a meal.

Ahhh. I was not there but I've kept my dollar bill that I received as change which is stamped WTO and has a line through it. Thanks, Francis. You sent me an easy one.

I have to remember how to move photos to an anonymous source and then I'll return with an image, OK?

edit: Here we are. Where in the world????

Yes, assuming you mean near a Tropic line.

(Hello, CI... I still treasure your Antarctic postcard. I hope you are well and still traveling.)

So glad to see Piff posting. I so often learn from her.

On the photo, looks like a place where roofs might fly off with severe wind.

Are we in Mexico?

Yes, you are somewhere in Mexico. Si. But, hmmm. Where?

Now, I really am off to bed.

<Thanks for the nice things you said, Osso. You're oh-so sweet.>

Sweet, except sometimes aggressive. Pah, to understand oneself.

I have learned from your posts, from your curiosity and your searches about your interests.

Hah, so, in this case, I'll wonder if we are in Guaymas?

Well, Dutchy, I'll ask if the place is on the Pacific or the Gulf, and when Piffka awakens, if the building is significant in some way such as a museum, etc. Looks rather like a travel agency, however.

Would appear a holiday resort to me Letty, looking at the sign on the right?

Good Morning!
Osso... not that you aren't sweet but that was wordplay on those onions... oso-sweets. Can't think where they're from.
Not Guaymas (and you are smart to remember!).
Not Acapulco.
That sign would give you a clue, yes, if you could read it. Can you read it?
Also meant as an amusement for Francis.

Letty, it is not on the Gulf of Mexico.

We had a power outage last night from the strong winds. Mr.P said he was quite surprised I didn't wake up because the transformer blowing sounding like a cannonshot outside our window. But I was snzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. ;-)

One might, dear Gus, but one would then be sadly off by a few thousand miles. I think I did offer a yes for Mexico. I will also note that one can see the water from those verandas, so a land-locked place wouldn't do, even if it were on the same continent.

There is a strong French connection. (That's a big hint.)
