Southern California, Francis.
There are policeman with sticks there? Didn't know that.
No, Miss Letty.
Hmmm. Must have been some sort of riot at a game. South America, Francis?
Exactly, Miss Letty, it was a riot at a game and the Aussies, as many others, love this game. But it's neither Oz nor South America.
Football(soccer) riot in Uruguay. Sheeze, Francis. I remember the last time that I searched the French open trying to find your place, and that was a hint gone awry.
I'll bet Dutchy knows it.
Well, I don't know if Dutchy could know this place but Spidergal could...
Well, it must be India, then. I'll find it shortly, I guess.
Mohali India, Francis? Can't find your picture as usual
Well, Francis, I know that Miss India lives somewhere near the Ganges, so I will guess a stadium in West Bengal.
It's a stadium but in a state (district) next to West Bengal.
Ok, honey. I'll keep looking, but I need to get off line for a bit. Expecting an important call from my daughter about my son.
This it, Francis?
The Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka is the only venue in the world to have hosted an inaugural home fixture for two Test nations. India were the visitors on both occasions: in 1954-55, when Dacca (sic) was the capital of East Pakistan, and 46 years later, when Bangladesh became the tenth nation to attain Test status. Situated in the throbbing heart of Dhaka, the Bangabandhu and the nearby National Hockey Stadium are so incorporated into the daily hustle and bustle of Bangladeshi life that it is hard to tell from the outside that they are in fact sporting venues, especially given the plethora of electrical goods stalls that have sprung up all around the concourse. With a purpose-built cricket stadium being constructed on the outskirts of the city, the ground was taken out of commission at the end of the 2004-05 season, and handed over for the sole use of the national football squad. Andrew Miller May 2005
I'll try and find the picture if I'm right about the place.
Dhaka is in another country, Bangladesh.
The sport played in our stadium is cricket...
Well, Francis. I told you that I learned from this thread. It's not just a game to me.
I was searching around West Bengal on the map that I found, and that seemed to be the place. I think that I was headed in the wrong direction.
Bihar? or around that area?
It's in a state (district) next to Bihar.
Hint: Dys like tea from that district.
I only know that dys likes Leonard Cohen's song about tea from China, Francis, and that ain't it. <smile>
I hate to do this, because the map is so large, but is the place on here?
The state (district) is showing along with its capital but there's not enough detail to show our place...
Darjeeling Cricket stadium? I always do have to work, work, work, to find your places, Francis.
