1. At the outset of the film Block stated that he was in quest of one action that would give meaning to his life. At the end of the film he finds that meaning by distracting Death and thereby allowing Jof and Mia to escape. Wouldn’t it take more than a single act of goodness like this to give life meaning?

Are you really asking a philosophical question as if the Seventh Seal was a documentary ... rather than a completely fictional film constructed 100% by a screenwriter(s) and multiple other filmmakers with an eye towards creating a story ... not trying to figure out the meaning of life, the universe, and how many acts of goodness equals a meaningful life?
