Its his #1 ego booster
Now hes in insomnia
Hes in deep euphoria
And hes got real nausea
His pulse rate has gone up
Though his breathing has slowed down
Hes lost all his expensive things
And hes always got a frown
Hes seen a lot of things
That no one else has saw
Hes numb and hes hurting
As hes stretched out on the floor
Strung out on something else?
I find it interesting how some religious experiences resemble a drug induced trance. That's not to mention the religions who rely on drugs to achieve enlightenment. The end results are strikingly similar:
You lose your valuable things -
You're numb and hurting -
You're powerless on the floor
