What's the one religious book you feel everyone should read?

Thank you Merry Andrew. Newsoul has posted the same thing twice despite me asking him not to. Either his reading comprehension is poor or he is purposefully trying to take the thread off subject.

Either way I appreciate all those who have responded. I have a few more books to put on my "to read" list now.

Amusing that you should happen to describe it that way. Yes Noah's children were onboard (in the myth). What about his father Methuselah? The bible conveniently gives dates with which you can calculate the relative times of different events. Isn't it an interesting coincidence that Methuselah just happened to die in the year of the flood?

The Two Babylons, By Alexander Hislop. Ever wanted to know about the pagan roots of nominal christianity? A good place to start.

Living Buddha Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh is excellent.

Examines the striking similarities and parallels in the messages of Buddha and Jesus. Short, insightful, outstanding.

Thich Nhat Hanh has a wonderful rep. in the Buddhist community, I do think it's time for me to check out one of his books (though most likely not this particular one  ).
