Personally, i think my ability to write anything of worth only appears in times of crises when my head needs emptying. I just wanted to know if it was true
Just incase
The moon is full tonight
Ligthing my garden with her cool blue caress
Touching each blade of grass
Illuminating
And you, you dance under her
Your arms wide open
Your hair in disarray
Unaware that she watches
Oblivious to her smile
And to mine
Tonight the gentle ear is your dancefloor
The night is your partner
Holding you easily
Leading you gracefully
As your steps blaze across the sky
The tears of joy
Pouring down your pale drawn face
That for once smiles
Like it did so many months ago
And the purple folds spin around you
Like your own night sky
The garden provides your perfume
And the midnight lavender speaks of your relief
I can only watch
And hope
And believe

I don't think you are alone. Without a doubt, the best poetry is not that which is forced from a dry heart, but which runs out of a bleeding one.
As to your poem, it's really beautiful...and touching.
