First of all, I don't like having to post here...as I am a computer scientist...and I have been using Word for over 10 years...

Anyway, when I type === it automaitcally creates some kind of wierd line break thing, which will not go away!

On the "Tools" menu, select "Autocorrect Options." Click the "AutoFormat As You Type" tab. Uncheck "Border lines" under "Apply as you type." That should make it stop, I think (though it won't fix the ones that have already been done).

Thank you. I thought it was a page break, but methods of deleting a page break were not working.

Knowing that it is considered a "border line" makes it easy to get rid of; I can select the text there and go to Format->Borders and Shading->None to get rid of it. It's considered a "custom border."

How ridiculous.
