Technical Information (for support personnel)

Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 404.
Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled Web Site Setup, Common Administrative Tasks, and About Custom Error Messages.


How can I understand where the problem is? I made the changes but the page cannot be found, please help me out.

Looks like a support request for my mod_rewrite mod. It "spoofs" urls that don't exist.

IIS does not have mod_rewrite so that mod will not work on IIS and the static url portion should be removed.

I'm not familiar with IIS what is it? What shal I do to make your code be able to be used? Please tell me, because the code is perfect. What is the mod rewrite? Is it a programme i should install in the server or should I activate it somewhere or ask the server to change from windos hosting to linux, please help me to make the code functionable

IIS is the web server you are getting the error from. You can't use my mod_rewrite code as mod_rewrite is an Apache (different server) feature.

You would need to switch from IIS to Apache.

I aked my web server to change from windows hosting to windows + linux they told this would solve my IIS problem changing the server into apache, it's that correct? I paid, I want to know if I made the right choice. Thank you.
