Hi there sorry for the late reply, I need you to download the most current version of HJT,

Please go Here and unzip the newest version of HJT into a new dedicated folder,
Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it hjt. Unzip HijackThis into this folder. Launch Hijack This, then press Scan, and press Save Log
This will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.
Most things are harmless and needed so don't make any changes.

A couple things I need you to do please,
First,
Download the Hoster from Here Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program

Next,

Please download ewido security suite it is a trial version of the program.

• Install ewido security suite
  
• Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
  
• The program will prompt you to update click the OK button
  
• The program will now go to the main screen
  

You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.

• On the left hand side of the main screen click update
  
• Click on Start
  

The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
Once the updates are installed do the following:

• Click on scanner
  
• Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:
  [b]
  • Binder
    
  • Crypter
    
  • Archives[/b]
    
  
  
• Click on Start Scan
  
• Let the program scan the machine
  

While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report

• Click Save report
  
• Save the report to your desktop
  

Reboot your machine and post back a new HJT log and the ewido .txt log please

...and if you didn't have any spyware, at least now you have a gazillion worthless programs installed on your machine --

Jon, why are you giving him the run around? It looks like this problem is obviously a bug in the code on the website to check his battery life

it sounds to me like your battery has reached the end of it's life and needs to be replaced
