Do their wireless support 108 mbps? (I just purchased a netgear wireless router with 108 bps capability).

I reinstalled windows xp onto my old dell and the activation key won't work when prompted to type it in! It's the same computer! Is there a way to bypass this whole process?

Have you tried dell.com. The support forums there are great, you can find many common users that have come across or at least know about many of the problems. I just spent all weekend there trying to help my mom with her desktop.
It is worth a shot!

1) bps != Mbps, but this may have been a typo.

2) Wireless cards generally top out at 54 Mbps. But you do not actually get those speeds. Note that a router is often intended for multiple connections and thusly it's speed isn't overkill as it is intended to sate multiple networking connections.

Here's a quick overview on wireless networking speed:

802.11b wireless maxes at a theoretical speed of 11 Mbps
802.11a and 802.11g at 54 Mbps.

Dell does sell 54 Mbps cards. As far as I know this is as fast as you can get in a end-user PC.
