Wheeling - feeling as if one had to be rolled out the door after a multiple course dinner.

Mississauga -- long, boring made-for-television movie about the life of a teenaged girl . . .

Coventry.........A large Oak that Dagmar and Shewolf dance around, casting spells.

Oswego -- that squeaky sound you hear when you use a cotton swab to clean your ear . . .

Murrumbidgee - the obstinacy of a parent or sibling

Onandaga -- dance done by semitic nomads while masturbating

Oskaloosa -- Academy Awardless person

Hey, I just had an idea... we could make a story using placenames from Google Maps (see link in my previous post or links below).

For example, 1st post: Ryan was reading a book on the porch one day.

2nd post: It was about the Atkins diet, which he hadn't tried before. (Note that you have to be able to see "Atkins" and "Ryan" on the same map.)

3rd post: Taking up the diet would mean big changes because he loved tiffin cake and might not be able to live without it.

The story would crawl around the US (we can start a UK one later), and I think it could be quite fun/funny. If you think it's a good idea, we can start a new thread. What do you think? What rules do we need? I guess one rule is: "In the story, the placename word shouldn't refer to the place on the map." (so it would be OK to refer to Windsor castle, for example)

Guadalajara -- that rumbling sensation in your bowels after you ate those tamales you bought from the street vendor

Slumgullion, the place where snooty sea gulls go to be condescending.
