I'm doing a school assignment about saving our natural resources and whatnot.

One of the questions is as follows:

"Do you know of any policy the government now has to deal with this issue? If the interviewee does not know, explain the policy you have researched on the issue and ask the following about that. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the policy?"

Do any of you guys know if the government has some type of policy on this issue? If so, what is it?

Depends on the natural resource. The way norwegian fisheries are managed, is some agency sets the quota's to ensure the fish populations are sustained, and then those quotas are auctioned off. Negotiations with the British, the Icelandics and the Russians involved, as fish are migratory, and our fish populations are shared with these countries to a large extent.
