I think this picture is beautiful. If anyone could share their knowledge with me, or a link, I would appreciate it. Maybe Jl Nobody or Asherman would know?
p.s. Do you like it?
I'm not postitive but my guess is that it is Anumati, the Hindu moon goddess who represents wealth and fertility.

Yeah, I agree, this pic IS beautiful!!
I think it is Tara a Tibetan Buddist enlightened woman.I became initiated to her secrets in Nepal back in 1988.

Can you say what the secrets are? Or is it still a secret?
Yes Tara is a tantric diety. She is one one goes to for help on a personal level.Once initiated you learn her mantra. Then with the mantra you can enter the helpfull bliss of Tara tantric messages.Thats all I can say.I cannot tell you the mantra because you must be initiated first.
turtlette,
My daughter brought back a small statuette from her recent trip to India studying yoga. The statue is brass and looks very much like your picture. She told me that the goddess should be prayed to or appealed to, for help when needed.
Thank you all for your time and thoughtful replies, they are appreciated. :-)
Picture
I think it looks nice
FYI, the Tara mantra is freely available on the Internet - "om tare tuttare ture svaha".
