Anyone watching the game?
Our third favorite juice head in the league, Gary Sheffield, was going for a ball in right field that was rolling across the wall...after a close look at the replay, a fan in the front row slapped him in his face as he was bending over to get the ball. Shef immediately threw a quick punch at the fan's head, turned around to throw the ball in, then went back after the fan.
Jerry Remy called the fan "high."
Good times.
Funny thing, the fan tried to be nonchalant about the swipe.
Hahaha.... so will this sheffield guy be penalized?
Probably not, the fan got ejected though. Sheffield's punch was kind of a quick reaction.
Poor woman next to the fan got her beer spilled. $6 down the drain.
Damn! It's not like a sox fan to waste beer.
Yeah did you see the face of the woman whose beer got spilled - she looked really pissed - like who is going to compensate me for the beer? I would have been pissed too - those beers are expensive.
One woman sitting next to the guy accused of hitting Sheffield said, she does not think he hit Sheffield, he was just trying to get the ball and Sheffield got hit in the process.
He definitely wasn't trying to get the ball. The ball was rolling on the ground and his hand hit Sheff in the face, about 6 feet too high. People were calling into sports radio all morning debating whether it was intentional. Some think he was just trying to distract the juiced up Yank. Which is possible, but either way he intefered and hit him in the grill.
It was intentional, Sox fans are complete dicks, and Sheffield is not a juicehead.
Oh, and The Red Sox blow.
1) Sheffield IS a juicehead, but that's fine. So are half the other major leaguers, and 90% of minor leaguers trying to get a shot.
2) There are plenty of Sox fans who are dicks, but remember, Yankee stadium holds almost double the fans than Fenway, which means more dicks at Yankee games.
3) World Champs.
4) I had a one-wiper today. TO ONE-WIPERS!
