What should be the height of my Kitchen countertop?

Hi,

I am planning to renovate my kitchen next month and I am looking for the different things that I should take care.

I wanted to know what should be the ideal height of the kitchen countertop that allows me to cook food wiht ease?

My height is 5'.7"....

36" above floor is standard for kitchen countertops...

Making your counter top a non-standard height would not be good for your resale value. It would also make it hard to buy appliances that fit under the counter and require custom cabinets.

Take ceiling height and minus 6 inches. That should be the height of your kitchen countertop.
