First and last thing on my mind
Cocaine baby tequila honey
Friday night sweetie pie
Wednesday night blues
Up and down I go
Cocaine lonely tequila only
It's great then awful
I love you then hate you
Find you then lose you
Miss you then abuse you
Cocaine baby tequila honey
Light my cigarette after this line
First and last thing on my mind
My wired darling valentine
One day you and me we'll feel fine
Till then you got cocaine money and tequila company
My cocaine baby tequila honey.
Like it - the words communicate a real sense of the juxtaposition of the high you get and the way it feels when you come crashing down. The meter /rhythm has a sense of speediness - which helps the reader actually feel the sensation you're describing. Also like the imagary of the cocaine as seductive lover-and the writer as obsessive "suitor".
I think it really works.

Sorry - didn't mean to post that twice.
it's cool thanks, i was trying to find that sorta of atmosphere also the poem has a dula context for me, as well a man in my life has a serious coke and drinking problem, and I've devolped a slight obsession with his obsessions.
You really captured the essence - I didn't read your profile and thought you were the guy writing about your own addiction - it was that convincing.
well i'm not unversed in the usage of the above but it has never become a problem the way it has for him: he's my cocaine baby tequial honey
hope things work out for him.
me too, this poem was my birthday present to him.
when's his birthday? Have you given it to him yet? How'd he like it?
he dug it don't know much elses it's rather prsonal for both of us so I don't want to push him, too much, but he told me last night that he's trying to cut his coke use to just weekends now and see how it goes from there.
