Ok, this is a long shot but my mom and I are looking to identify this bird we used to hear all the time. We've never seen it but it has a call that sounds sort of like "wee wee". Maybe closer to "weet wee". High pitched. And it does it over and over again.
Anyone have ANY clue what I am taking about?
Could be several different birds. My thought would be a cardinal, grosbeak or shrike.
The cardinal is high pitched and sounds like your weet wee etc.
Oh actually, the first "weet" is higher pitched than the second "wee"....
I found it! I guess I have a bad description of it....thanks for your help though!!
Black-capped Chickadee
Glad you found it. Sounded different that I had envisioned under my beanie
