Has anyone else noticed that the composition of the College of Cardinals is very different from the membership of A2K ?
What do you mean, Noddy? The biggest difference is that we are all here voluntarily. In fact, we sought a2k out. The cardinals were appointed to their posts, granted, after a life-long career in the church, but still appointed.
plainoldme--
A2K is not composed of religiously conservative, politically astute male Catholics of more than 50 years of age.
I'm prepared to bet lots of money on Joseph Ratzinger.
Any takers?
Noddy -- You're right, as usual!

If you and I got together and elected a Pope, she probably wouldn't be given St. Peter's keys.
Ah, yes, a female Pope! There is the legend of Pope Joan, but, I think she's just a legend!
I would have preferred an African or a South American, someone to make the church more "catholic" as I said somewhere.
Since it is not unheard of to live to be more than 100, let's not think Benedict XVI is a transition pope: he could stay as long as his predecessor did!
