what was the best Martin scorsee movie. I think it was Raging Bull. also which movie of his do you feel he deserved best director for? that can be a hard question because, he has made so many good films and yet has never won.
The Best Martin Scorsee Film was Goodfellas. He should have one an Academy Award for this film. Quote-FunkyStu "...He has had so many great films but has never won. I agree good work Bobby.
Ironically, I'm not a Scorsese fan at all. That is, all his flicks are always highly-touted, but I always find myself asking, "What's the big friggin' deal?"
Having said that, I do like Casino quite a bit.
Goodfellas - I love that move and somehow relate to a lot of parts of the movie.
I would also vote for "Goodfellas," the best mob flick of all time even over "The Godfather." I can always pull up the vision of De Niro standing at the bar and just thinking -- you can see it in his face that he's planning a way to whack someone.
(But I also love Scorcese's filmation of the opera "Madame Butterfly")
Wow. You know, I'm not a big fan of Scorcese either. I respect him as a director but...
This is a good concept for lots of threads. Can i steal it?
We've not had a best films by a particular director for some time. Go to it.
raging bull is as close to a perfect film as they come. fully realized, magnificant acting, great directing. director and actors at the top of their craft.
