Actually, in Germany I lived in a 100 year (or maybe even more) old house, but it had meter thick brick walls. There were no problems except for the floor which made loud noises every time one steps on it.
But that one in Richmond was wooden! How is wood supposed to last this period of time, especially when it's stuffed with backpackers
