Image Gallery Script

I'm currently using the Flash Image Gallery system, which can be found at http://www.flashimagegallery.com/. However, the system is a little bit annoying (the drop down menu can disappear before I even select a link).

That's not to mention the fact that it only accepts unoptimised, unprogressive JPEGS and sometimes when I put up a jpeg picture it turns out not to load even though I've created a thumbnail for it.

But enough about my gripes about that system, they're minor really, but I do want the system to be more user friendly.

I need a client-side script that can create an image gallery from a directory filled with pictures that preferably does not create text hyperlinks but clickable thumbnails. It must be client-side, because this site will be viewed offline.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
