Well I suspect if you won't accept the Village Voice plus any other already linked sources that have dealt with this, I coubt I'll come up with one that will satisfy you. Judge Greer Feb 25 order was that on March 18 Michael Schiavo could remove all hydration and nutrition from the Terri's ward. He didn't even mention the feeding tube I don't believe in his order. He ordered that Michael could remove all hydration and nutrition period.

Are you even reading my posts before answering them? The only point of comparison was liberal willingness to accept court decisions as gospel. I was not comparing anything else about the two cases. Stop acting as though I had been trying to make some kind of general comparison, which I was not. Get it?

As opposed to a neoconservative's willingness to completely disregard a unified judiciary and overwhelming agreement by doctors in deciding what is in the best interests of this case.

Uh, huh...

See, Brandon, I am reading your posts. Especially the one where you somehow think I'm writing an expose on a2k. That was quite entertaining...

Sixth Circuit Court Judge George W. Greer doggedly continued his resolve to execute neurologically disabled Terri Schindler-Schiavo Tuesday, denying a motion by her parents to orally feed the disabled woman after the removal of her gastric feeding tube March 18 as he has ordered.

Um, first of all, the feeding tube wasn't "orally" inserted. It was inserted directly into the stomach.

Secondly, by using the word "execute," this article becomes a rather sick joke. Neurologically disabled? Terri's mind was GONE.

I know very well what NPO means Geli and do not see what connection that has in this issue. Perhaps you could enlighten all of us?

Facts?

Can you find a non-partisan site that mentions it? Please? Personally, I can't find it. I'd like to hear Greer's reasoning, if it is available.

The court documents are on the website:

http://www.terrisfight.org/

In March 2005, Judge Greer denied all motions for current testing. He also denied swallowing tests. In a separate order dated March 8, 2005, Judge Greer denied the motion to feed Terri by mouth, The reason he gave is that he would not allow indirectly (apparently "experimental" swallowing tests) what he would not allow directly.

How is t possible that after 15 years of having a feeding tube no one has done a swallowing test? They just had an extra hanging around and thought she would look cute in a feeding tube ....come on

Idiots like Joe Scarborough were saying that Terri never had ANY testing done. And this site (terrisfight.ort) reflects that wealth of disinformation coming from the neocons. This site is nothing BUT partisan and attempts to reinvent medical science.

Truly amazing...

Debra, I am really surprised at you for posting that link which is created by the very people who disagree with the doctors and neurologists who haver personally examined Terri, and the court system of this country that agreed with the doctors.

I think only those firmly in the "Kill Terri Sfiavo club' could dismiss the signed court opinions posted on the site as 'disinformation'.

Fox, Isn't it a shame that you live in this country where our court system is so screwed up. Kinda tough to live here, isn't it?

I think those firmly in the "continuously sounding like idiots club" really need to take a break here.

Fox, do you even know what the brain scan looked like? What part of liquified brain matter boggles your mind? Or is this all just abject denial on a grand scale?

You neocons love to use the words like "execute" and "kill" and "murder" to describe ending the shell of a body that was once Terri Shiavo.

Shall we also put Dr. Frist in that category?

What alleged disinformation? The actual court documents are posted. If you don't want to read them, that's fine with me.

Again, Judge Greer's reasoning for denying the motion to feed Terri by mouth is available in his judicial opinion dated March 8, 2005. That judicial opinion is available on the "court documents" section of this website:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Republican leader Bill Frist said on Tuesday that courts had acted fairly in the Terri Schiavo "right-to-die" case, differing sharply from a vow of retribution by his House of Representatives counterpart, Tom DeLay.

"I believe we have a fair and independent judiciary today," said Frist, now trying to resolve a battle with Democrats over judicial nominations that threatens to tie his chamber into knots. "I respect that."

Frist, asked about the furor over the case, told reporters, "I will let members (of Congress) ... speak for themselves."

But the Tennessee Republican said he believed the courts "acted in a fair and independent way."
