Devoid of emotions that should swell the heart,
the ghoulish creature desperately wandered the wilderness
fervently hoping for a soul that would fit the yearning.
The desperation that racked the body meandering through limbo,
Far and wide it had traveled, seeking acceptance,
much too long had it lingered on the dashed hope of belonging.
Understanding came too late for the ghastly vision,
Lying angelically in the coffin so black,
the haunted face sought solace in the emptiness of forever.
Within the confines of the hallowed tomb,
It found the acceptance and enlightenment that it had so patiently for.
In death, the pallid cheeks and shuttered eyes, sprang to Elysian life.
