I have to admit, the thought has crossed my mind, CJ.
But I actually did smile and say hello to a total stranger of the attractive pursuasion today.
And what happened, Gravy? Did this person smile back? Did you get a positive response?
Just do it kicky, be spontaneous and go up there for
a weekend. Nothing is holding you back, except your
own stubborness.
KC: YES. A couple of bumps in the road, and yes, we actually had a nice (6 sentence or so) conversation. It was a moment of NOT pre-analyzing, followed by a surprisingly smooth natural interaction.
(a learning moment of much more significance)
CJ,
Ha! That's just crazy talk! Besides, where would I stay? <hint, hint>
<The peanut gallery chipmonks all clapping and squeaking in support and positive thoughts for journeys ahead>
In a hotel kicky! You have to take it slowly and not
rush into things. I know, given your urgency in certain
matters, won't help you much, but you've got to try it
anyway.
I, on the other hand, am not going there, constructed stuff doesn't always work out. These two will connect at first or not, and later or not, and it ain't our business.
But, they are both witty grownups, and they will both find happiness somehow.
(ok, I don't know that, I hope that.)
osso, I think kicky needs a push.
Yeh, and what I last said had nothing to do with post position.
Well, I don't know if they need a push, they'll meet and bleat Naaaaah, or Baaaah and probably annoy each other. Seems right. Maybe they'll get over that, or not. I like them both a great deal, as is obvious, and so what.
Whatever, I am guessing they'll be long time friends.
As are we all.
Can we just get this thread back on topic now, and forget all this talk? I don't think we should be talking about this.
So, what did you learn today, CJ?
Learn today? I forgot all about that.
hehehe...we really got off track here, didn't we?
I didn't learn anything, in fact I regressed.

Me too. In english comprehension,
CalamityJane wrote:... Yet motorcycle cops are actually quite nice
I also misunderstood this to mean it was CJ and her child on a motorcyle, being caught by an officer in charge of motorcycles.
Back to cat in the hat books....
I know: "an officer riding his motorcycle" would have been the correct term.
Today I remembered (learned) that being human is what unites us.
