This torture you so silently place upon me
The pain your absence feels inside me
As you're only in my mind
I can only feel what I cannot leave behind.

By the power of my mind
I believe in what i'll never find
And I will let me hurt me
With everything that will never be.

Meet me in my happy place
Where I live my life in outer space.
You surround me, making my heart shine
And your love I make believe real, is mine.

StandUpForPessimism,
I read a quality of understanding active imagination in your writings.
It seems you have arrived to knowing most of what is Real to you -is -manufactured by your own perception of who and with what you are interacting.
I find it delightful, and feel the same way. I am enjoying the topic.

Wow, that's great. I really like it. While most people like the last line, I think my favourite is:

I can only feel what I cannot leave behind.

I agree with A-glow as well, it's very powerful.

It's an interesting outlook on life, and a positive one, that only what you let effect you will.
