I've recently heard that the french movie "The Chorus" (Les choristes) has been the victim of censorship in the united states. Apparently, children under 13 were not allowed to see it...
Is it true?
Why? Why? Why?

Not so. The Motion Picture Association of America rates films according to certain standards, that usually have to do with violence and/or sexual material:

The Chorus was rated PG-13. This means that parents need to be advised that some of the material in the film may be unsuitable for children under 13.

Younger children are not barred from seeing this film. The PG-13 rating is a guide for parents. The only ratings that can bar youngsters are,

"R"-No one under 17 admitted without an adult, or

"NC-17-" No one under 17 admitted.

Thanks Phoenix32890 Smile
I didn't know that.
(Still I can't find anything that could be "unsuitable" for children under 13...)
