I don't know much about reg cleaners. Can anyone recommend a good one?

I also have a question about win xp pro. I try to install from scratch because I want to have a clean install. So I put in the disk, make sure its bootable from CD, and go. It gets to the point about which partition, but it wont let me install on C. I want to reformat C and do a clean install, but it says that there are setup files that are needed.

HELP!

Thanks, Khe

PC Magazine offers a fairly comprehensive review of Registry Cleaners

CNet's Download.com has a broad assortment of registry cleaners available for download, along with user reviews of the various products HERE

Mike Stevens offers a very thorough, easy-to-follow guide to performing a Clean XP Install. Mike has thoughtfully provided a printable version; look down toward the bottom lefthand portion of the page for the link.

Another very good guide may be found at Paul Thurrott's Supersite for Windows (An all-around excellent resource, IMHO); Windows XP Clean Install (Interactive Setup)
